The Garden of the Gods

I love living here in beautiful Colorado Springs! It had been my dream to move back to Colorado for thirty years and I finally made it. I looked at several places but I chose Colorado Springs for two main reasons: it’s abounding natural beauty, being so close to the mountains, and the lower cost of living compared to other parts of the State. One of the most beautiful places to visit here is The Garden of the Gods, just a short drive from where I live! While I was busy ‘nesting’ in my new apartment, my two grown children, who helped me make this move, took a hiking tour of The Garden of the Gods.

And this is my handsome and equally sweet son, Chris. I think his smile says it all too!

Here he is climbing one of the many iron rich rocks to get a better view of the valley below

This is a great photo of the two of them together.

There are many different trails and places to climb for every fitness level. The landscape truly is breathtaking everywhere you look!

There is also a gift shop called ‘The Trading Post’ with tons of souvenirs, eateries, and places to relax.
